chawan

chawans are one of my favorite things to make

not obvious from this photo, but the outside of this chawan has a layer of porcelein slip. the entire piece was dipped into assad black, but there is a contrast between the inside and outside of this piece. i wanted a darker color inside to contrast with the bright green of the matcha.
